UPDATE

Mom returned to Duke Wednesday, July 7th at 8am due to partial loss of movement on her left side. She was admitted that day and was released yesterday (July 9th). Determined by testing, she had brain swelling due to the biopsy. She was treated for this swelling.

The pathology report of the biopsy showed that the tumor stage has changed from grade 2 to a grade 3 (anaplastic astrocytoma), which will result in a treatment of some type. Monday, July 12th they have an appointment with the neuro-oncologist at Duke to discuss treatment options. Mom and dad are at Myrtle Beach with Net-Net for the weekend.
